College Scholarships

The New Hampshire Land Surveyors Foundation is offering four scholarships to New Hampshire residents. They are as follows:

I. The "Allen W. Plumb Scholarship" is in recognition of Plumb's twin professions of Forestry and Land Surveying and in recognition of his work to support the New Hampshire Land Surveyors Association and to improve the profession of Land Surveying in the State of New Hampshire. It is limited to a second, third or fourth year student from New Hampshire in a Forestry program (either a two-year or four-year curriculum) who has shown serious interest, capability, and outstanding accomplishment in surveying courses, and who plans to make the profession of land surveying his or her career.

II. The "E.N. Roberts Scholarship" is in recognition of Robert's twin professions of Engineering and Land Surveying and in recognition of his work to improve the profession of Land Surveying in the State of New Hampshire. It is limited to a second, third or fourth year student from New Hampshire in a four-year curriculum in Civil Engineering or a two-year curriculum in Civil Technology or Surveying who has shown serious interest, capability, and outstanding accomplishment in surveying courses, and who plans to make the profession of land surveying his or her career.

III. The "Warner M. Plummer Scholarship" is in recognition of Land Surveying. Warner M. Plummer's career exemplified thoughtful and caring contributions to the profession. This award is limited to a second, third or fourth year student from New Hampshire who is presently enrolled in a four-year Surveying or Surveying Engineering program at a college or university anywhere in the United States or Canada and has shown serious interest, capability, and outstanding accomplishment and who plans to make the profession of land surveying his or her career.

IV. The "Melvin E. Jenkins Scholarship" is in recognition of Jenkin's twin professions of Forestry and Land Surveying and in recognition of his work to support the New Hampshire Land Surveyors Association and to improve the profession of Land Surveying in the State of New Hampshire. It is limited to a second year student from New Hampshire enrolled in the Thompson School of Applied Science Forestry program who has shown serious interest, capability, and outstanding accomplishment in forestry courses, and who plans to make the profession of land surveying his or her career.
